The cobbler’s children

I excel at giving advice. Solicited, unsolicited, or somewhere in between, there are few things I enjoy more than sharing the wisdom of my experience. The hard part is taking my own medicine. In the moment, I freeze. Intellectually I know the answer, what to do, but practically I find myself struggling to follow through.

As I get better at being present in the moment, I improve at putting into action what I know to do. And still, it’s a lot easier to be on the giving rather than receiving end.

I remain a work in progress.
