I’m addition to feeding my Murder, She Wrote addiction, Amazon Prime Video also has the first seven seasons of Mister Rodgers Neighborhood available. Yesterday, I introduced my five-year old to the first episode of the first season, in black and white. It dealt with change.
The neighborhood trolley took us to the Neighborhood of Make-Believe where Lady Fairchilde had just completed a community-wide renovation. Everything was in a different place! The Eiffel Tower was on the other side of the castle across from the Museum-Go-Round. It was all extremely confusing, particularly for Henrietta Pussycat, the feline who lives in the tree next to X the Owl. Henrietta expressed her anxiety, noting that she felt disoriented.
“Change, meow, is hard.” Amen, sister.
